Every so often my fps seems to jump right down to aroun 30 or 40 during play.It is usually random but also seems to happen when starting a new round or game.

It does not make a difference if i have high or low graphics on and has only started happening to me recently out of the blue.

Can anybody help be getting rid of this and having constantly good fps?

type this in your console:
/r_drawdecals 0
The game doesn't look so nice anymore,
but it does improve the gameplay a lot.
It isn't allowed in some servers,
but it is allowed on cb so.

Are you running Virus protection while playing game, if so, try disabling it. It has been a known issue with allot of users that there virus protection, may it be MaCafee, Norton, CA, ect..., to lag down the game during airstrikes, gameplay, choppers. Try snoozing the virus protection and or disabling it while you are playing.
