Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module · Clan Roster 2.0

I downloaded and installed the WORLD TIME BLOCK and found that the php-script does not hold account for or links to DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME.

Since it isn't, many probably have abandonned the block due to the horrific job of changing the script twice a year.

For those who did or for those who haven't used it yet I added a simple solution for it.

I just need a few zones (6 max) and I created for each zone a SUMMER and WINTER time link. Therefor you can still use it without adjusting it each time DST is applied.

(Ofcourse it would be better if the block was amended to DST injection but I don't know php enough myself. (I am one of those lazy HTML guys from the pre-CSS age).

See if you can still use it this way. (And some advice: DOWNLOAD the 49 php clocks block. Many good clocks in there!)

Flash is the best way to go....

Flash has the ability to read data from the client, ( Time ) is one of those acquirable datas. With that, its always accurate to the person thats viewing it ( No matter what Time Zone, or Daylight savings time )...

Now..there are a billion and one flash Clocks available, but your looking for ( Wold Time Zones ) but here is one example:

URL = http://www.clocklink.com/clocks/world001-blue.swf?TimeZone=PST&

Ill post back with a php code snippet later today showing how a person can build a work around to daylight savings time in PHP

You will not recieve help from me if i have to go digging for your CMS information and version, If i have to take the time to play 21 questions, then you can take the time to google! No Copyright, no support either!

Thx for the efforts. That link ia actually very nice. I have the I-frame block downloaded and will see if I can put this in it. Might look good.

However, the block I was refering too is one that lets you add a few clocks in the php script itself to adjust it to timezones. These timezone lines just let you make the name of the timezone and the + or - hours to the GMT.

If you are able to get some script lines to make it work with DST then that would be awesome. I bet it would be a lot more used then.

So thx for checking it anyway.

see..thats the problem with the date() function which includes time.....

If you set that variable from the servers time..then your clients will see that time as if it was their own..which may be incorrect depending on their location. Flash doenst work that way because it pulls the PC time from the clients Browser.

As for Multi Clocks in FLASH ....they are widely available ( Google Search 'Flash Clocks' ).....
To incorporate them into a block simply paste the code inside the block content code Example:

Code:

$content ="EMBED-FLASH-CODE-HERE";

Or if you have a newer version of Nuke that operates an HTML editor Block Creator, you can simply copy and paste the <embed> tags to the editor and activate that block!
