How do I get the favicon working on my website?

Im using phpnuke 7.9

From what I can gather, phpnuke already has the code in it so I was under the impression I just add my favicon.ico to:

root/images/favicon.ico

This didn not work, so i read on another website that I need to add it to:

root/themes/mytheme/images/favicon.ico

Iv added the ico image to both locations, but the fav icon still wont show

Any ideas ?

I Found this code in header.php

echo "<link REL=\"shortcut icon\" HREF=\"themes/$ThemeSel/images/favicon.ico\" TYPE=\"image/x-icon\">\n";

So theoretically it should work when droping the icon file in:

root/themes/mytheme/images/favicon.ico

But for some strange reason it wont.. Crying

Upload it to the root directory of your site. So mine would be http://tfu-clan.co.uk/html/favicon.ico

Hmmm still no joy..

I have the favicon.ico file in 3 different locations now, and the bloody picture still wont show Bad HAir Day

/public_html/favicon.ico
/public_html/images/favicon.ico
/public_html/themes/*mytheme*/images/favicon.ico

Any thing else I could try ? Retard

Try deleting cookies and cache then resave your site into your favourites. What is the link to your site i will save it to my favs see if it works.
