To all of you using 'Windows Vista' the following information should be of interest to you, especially since it may effect you!

Windows Vista has been bombarded with lawsuits for the last year...

From 'Windows Vista Capable Marketing' scheme to 'misusing intellectual property and violating a license agreement'.....

No doubt that Microsoft can easily afford the payoffs, however, some of the complaints are asking more then just monetary damages but also an injunction against the Sale and Distribution

What does this mean for 'Vista Users' ???

Well in a nut shell, Vista is NOT being developed further at this time...So whatever 'Bugs' and Errors' your simply Stuck with! The only option for a OS replacement is a Roll Back to Windows XP which comes at cost from your own pocket.

If the Injunction is granted, its not clear if Microsoft will be responsible for providing an alternative OS version at no cost!

For New PC purchasers, it may be in your better interest to 'Opt Out' of purchase of ANY Windows Vista pre-loaded OS, you may end up having to purchase a replacement in the future!

You will not recieve help from me if i have to go digging for your CMS information and version, If i have to take the time to play 21 questions, then you can take the time to google! No Copyright, no support either!

Someone told me they were working on a new windows version.
It would come out next year.
But what do you want Vista is the biggest mistake of Windows,
it's just junk. If linux could manage to get games to work on it.
I'll immedaitly change to linux. Go Linux !! :P

I have linux on my small laptop and i have to agree it is rather nice and fast..

i purchased Vista when it was first released and had so many dam problems, program compatibility drivers and all sorts ... so after 2 months i reverted back to XP and don't ever want to use Vista again.. in short its a pile of crap waiting to explode !

I hope Linux gets games to work on it.
So I don't need to use Windows anymore :P
There is only one problem with it, it doesn't work properly with a AMD CPU.
But I was planning on buying a new Intel CPU anyway.

Could you cite some sources that back up the 'Vista not being developed further' statement? How about the 'injunction on sale and distribution' bit? Be interested to read more on this but, so far, no luck.

I doubt a new OS will come out within a year, but this whole Vista fiasco seems to be quite similar to Windows ME.....which in turn bred Windows XP, so if history repeats itself, we should get a good OS this next time coming.

I have laptop with vista and i hate it. everything has problems and yesterday was the last day xp was sold. Crying

Im going to stick to xp. damn you bill gates make a GOOD os and one that ACTUALLY runs and isnt worthless.

if you read it all you will find it is the new Os they are working it will just look similar to Vista is all
