I think game hacks will always be their. The more security you create the harder people will work to get around them.
I completly agree Floppy, even with software as soon as someone says its "un-crackable" someone WILL "crack it"
This is true with games, software & even hardware in some cases. Truth is the only way your gonna dtop it is if you either a) allow it or b) keep it free (software)

This is a nice thread to discuss...
I played Farcy for 2 years solid (MP) and i was not a bad player .. At first i did used to find it an insult when gamers shout "haxor" at me, but after a while i eventually took it as a compliment !!
I really cannot understand, the point of playing a game if your going to cheat.. i just cant and probably wont understand the mentality that some people "Need" to cheat/hax in games...
Its like there crap, i know ill go find a hack to get one over on the other players... then that just defeats the whole point of the dam game and spoil it for all the other players, it got a point near the end of farcry where everyone was calling everyone hackers and its one of the reasons i left the game ... got a bit stupid and boring..
Hackors will remain apart of all programs/games there sad and ruin it for the genuine person like me !!
They should be banned by there ISP's for life !! lol
Prolly the best anti cheat out there is PB atm the moment with its permanently PB bans and streaming ban system...
I play a game called CSS you all know what it is im sure and it has a cheat system called VAC (Valve Anti Cheat) Well back awhile ago it use to ban certain video drivers due a cheat called Driver Manipulation... Its altered video drivers and such well vac use to ban these kinda cheats but more precise it use to mainly ban users with certain ASUS graphic cards because the driver replaced the original dll file... So now vac doesnt check for these kind of cheats and the programs are freely able to create hacks this way like wall hacks etc without having fear of being vac banned (Account permanently banned)
But yes as they said... If theres a security setup it will be cracked.. Which dont get me wrong you cant make something better without first finding the flaws and two its fun cracking and exploiting things haha...Specially in a old game I use to play neverwinter nights.. It was really fun exploiting peoples scripting in their servers...

Hello there. Our clan (»cOd« Cause of Death) runs five (5) Counter-Strike Source servers. Four (4) have Zblock installed. This program goes back a few years but it's development continues and it has a self updater. You can read more here---> http://zblock.cs-resourced.net This mod has caught more hackers in a week then us administrators catch in a month. I'm not here to promote their product nor am I affiliated with them. I saw this thread and if I can help, then thats what I do.

Ban client-ID (especially at FEAR combat) and give out inform to all server admins. (unfortunately there are retard admins who just won't answer in-game eve if you write CAP LETTERS)
This is an excellent discussion and I see we all agree they will always be around. That said we are having excellent results with PBBans. We have caught on our 2 servers 63 NEW BF2 hackers in about 6 months. In addition, we ban countless everyday that are already on the master ban list (a ban list that all PBBan streaming servers enforce as a group). It is not uncommon to have a few PBBans ban annoucements in the console while in a 30 minute round of karkand. All that said hackers are not a issue anymore for our 2 servers. Once every 1 to 2 months we have to reboot the game server due to attempted hacks which is usally not much of a problem to our visitors.
