Did you follow the instructions on going to your admin panel and clicking blocks and then adding the block for the v3 arcade and then including it where you want, or simply linking to that block. As far as I can see from the posts here, everything seems to be fine. If you can see options in your forum admin panel, then it should be present on your server in the correct place. If you can go to those options and see other things then the installation is there and correct (mostly).

Looks like I need to add this to my list of video tuts. Everybody likes games, so this might be a good one to start with (well, after the backup tuts).

What specifically are the errors. I bet they are pointing toward permission and a line in a PHP file. I bet, through the installation that when you did the sql load that it took out a table and renamed it. From what I remember, the installation (from the manual doc file) makes a removal of the nuke_bbauth_access and replaces it with nuke_bbauth_arcade_access. Look in your sql table and see if the nuke_bbauth_access is still there. If not, then go to the sql file in your nuke installation and view it. Look for the nuke_bbauth_access addage and manually add that to your sql tables.

If you don't know how to do that, them PM me and I will help. This, overall, was the problem I had when adding the V3 to my site. Running the sql query didn't work properly, so I did it manually and noticed that in the doc for the mod that it removes the forementioned sql table. I added it manually in like 5 seconds and everything was running fine.

BTW, floppy, you might want to look at the manual installation doc and correct that. I meant to mention it before, but my mind is in a million places all the time. And, you might want to look at the sql file to upload. I think it is a bit bugged. At least concerning revennuke addage of the mod. Might be more spread to other distros. But not sure.

did you check folder permissions? some need to be changed. also try uploading the whole files again but use a ftp program like cuteftp or something as certain hosts may block some files being uploaded or they may glitch a little while uploadin making the file corrupt. with an ftp manager it will let you know if any errors and on which files etc. windows ftp is whack mate.
i had same probs on v3 and with the above it was ok after.

Multi Gaming (Warrior) Theme · Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module ·  · Clan Themes Green PhpNuke Theme

i did a bit of searching and found the reason for games not scoring.

Go to your forum admin panel then the arcade admin.

OK lets assume you have no games working and you want to add one and everything is installed correctly and all games uploaded as instructed with the tut files.

1. Click 'add a game'
2. Put the game name in and the desc you want for said game
3. 'Score Variable' is just the name of the game so if the game filename 'pacman.swf' just put in 'pacman'
4. 'Game File Name' is the actual file uploaded e.g. 'pacman.swf'
5. Picture File Name is the picture associated to the game - these can be found in the images folder - refer to the tuts for location - they are in forums image folder i think.
6. 'Category' should be Arcade
7. 'Game Type' should be V3Arcade
8. 'Game Width' & 'Game Height' i leave as they are but you can of course change these - experiment as altering this can screw up your site layout when game is displayed.

IMPORTANT: Some games do not tally scores for me e.g. Pacman does not add socres so make sure you test each game you put up and that is sends the score before letting meme ber know game is live!

Hope the above helps!

Took me a while to find out how to get it all to work.

if the game does not score it means the variable is wrong as not always is the game name the variable.

solution:

open game in macromedia flash. click variable and there u go :)

Post sorry got that wrong. open in decompiler Posted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 9:36 am

got that wrong actually.
open the game (.swf) file in a decompiler like "flash decompiler" and then you can view all the source for the game. if you cant find the variable just search the term variable and it will bring up all the variables in the file. :)

You know I actually didn't know that. Would be nice to get this issue resolved.
