Hi Guys,

I have recently noticed a flaw in the forums on my site since i launched it last week.

The quote function is not working - instead when a member hits the button the bbcode does come up correctly in the reply box but it outputs the following:

[quote="name"]message here[/quote]

The only thing that seems to correct it is removing the ="name" from the quote code so you end up with:

Code:

[quote]message here[/quote]

And that works.

Anyone got any ideas where i could look to fix this?

Ok i only read thru first couple of pages - i had HTML turrned on - turned it off and quotes are working! LMAO

what version of phpnuke are you using ?

have you sorted your problem with regards to the bbcode box issue as well ?

This problem is happening for me too.

I have version 2.20.01 of RavenNuke installed

my 'http\includes\functions_post.php' file includes the following "fix" (it was already there with my version, I didn't have to insert it manually):

$message = addslashes($message);
$message = str_replace('"', '\"', $message);

When I use the "Quote" button, it simply shows the following without formatting it into a quote box:

[quote="Author"]test test test[/quote]

I have tried with HTML turned on and off, no luck. It still appears. Any help?

I've read that this quote button issue was fixed in 2.0.21 - and I'm running phpBB 2.0.23

what gives?
