alright guys, if you can help me with this one, it would be great. basically what i am trying to do is embed a regular .jpg as a background on my site. i would like for it to set in the back on my main page, and any other page if possible. thanks guys. i look forward to hearing from you.

First of all we need to know what you are using on your site ie Nuke platinum nuke ect then what theme your using. If you are using Nuke or simaler then its easy enough to do, you will need to go into the theme folder and goto currnet theme set for site and look for your style sheet or theme.php REMEBER WHEN EDITING ANY FILE BE SURE TO MAKE A BACK UP FIRST!! you will need to have a look around for background. If its just set to a color and not using any image as background then just add the code for an image.

hello im interested in this aswell have raven nuke site and my theme has no backgroud image its just black color i think
here is what my theme.php file says.

Edited out the theme.php and style.css, we dont really need to see it, alternativly you can just attach the 2 files in a zip folder

I am guessing, since I havent tried this yet, but in your themes.php

where you see

echo "<body bgcolor=\"#000000\" text=\"#FFD823\" link=\"#363636\" vlink=\"#363636\" alink=\"#d5ae83\">";

change it to

Code:

echo "<body background="IMAGE URL HERE" bgcolor=\"#000000\" text=\"#FFD823\" link=\"#363636\" vlink=\"#363636\" alink=\"#d5ae83\">";

You can remove the bgcolor, but it should display the image over the color. Be sure to put the URL of the image where it says IMAGE URL HERE.

You can do it like this as well, its called in line CSS

Remember with the body tag you will need to close it in the footer, so open it at the top of your header file, and close it at the end of your footer... Ideally we should be putting the body style into the CSS sheet

hey all still cant get it to work i have added 3 files to my theme the style.css file the theme.php and tables.php
i really want to add background images to site but not as tiles or have theme repeat any help would be appreciated

oh image is in themes/guildwars/gw006.jpg
or should i just put it in root?
