I have noticed my PMs are not being sent but they stay in the outbox & not going into the sent box. No one is getting the PMs. I have a PHP Nuke 8.0 with PHPBB built in. I wonder if this has anything to do with it. I upgrade from the phpbb 2.0.0 to 2.0.23. Also, I installed the Welcome PM mod & got it working. I created a new user but no welcome PM was sent. Basically, no PMs are being sent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just curious, what theme are you using. I have found that some themes have had errors that caused PM's not to work. We had this problem with some themes from http://www.phpthemes.net/ .

I am using the xtrato veil theme. It has worked in the past until I updated the database from 2.0.0 to 2.0.23. I did not know that there was 2 databases updates in between them.

When you updated the databases, it was for the phpBB, did you update them in order, cause if you don't, you might be missing something. Or were you able to fix this problem?

I know with updating databases, especially with things like phpBB, you have to update them in order, like if your updating to 2.0.19 to 2.0.21, you actually have to update from 2.0.19 to 2.0.20, then from 2.0.20 to 2.0.21, and so on to the latest version.

You shouldn't loose anything if you do the updates in order. I think there are BB2Nuke updates and you would need to install them in order. Mind you that I am just going by what I remember when I worked with phpBB a long time ago. And that was the most common error that people ran into. As for phpbb on nuke, not sure if bb2nuke run the same as how phpBB ran meaning on the updates. I am still learning about phpnuke, so I think Ped or DoC or Bayler might answer this better then me since they are more experienced with phpnuke. I am just running on my knowledge of phpbb.

I downloaded the upgrade ffor 2.0.21 & noticed there are some folders I do not have in my current main folder like cache & email folders. I am assuming that I just copy all the files to the correct folders. How do I update the datatbase once I get all the files copied? Since I went from 2.0.20 to 2.0.23 without installing the upgrades for .21 & .22 will this be a problem?

aaah good ole BB2Nuke updates..

Yes you do have to do them in sequence 2.0.20, 2.0.21, 2.0.23 etc etc etc

OK to install

Pretty basic really.. Upload contents to correct location on your web server, then in the update package you will see upgrade20-21.php

Make sure the upgrade file is in your NUKE ROOT (Same as config) and all other folders are in the same structure... includes to includes, modules to modules... you get my drift Wink

If you want links to each of the files needed here you go:
(all links are for nuke 8.0)

BBtoNuke 2.0.21 For PHP-Nuke 8.0
BBtoNuke 2.0.22 For PHP-Nuke 8.0
BBtoNuke 2.0.23 For PHP-Nuke 8.0

Remember 21, then 22, then 23 Wink

To install it go to: http://www.YOURDOMAIN.COM/upgradeXX-XX.php (XX-XX is the name of the upgrade file)

O.K. I got .23 installed & the PM mod installed but it is not sending out the welcome pm. I created another user & it did not send it. I configured the PM first then created the user but it did not send a welcome PM. Any thoughts & help?
