Have you activated it in modules. As you will know you will see it on home page as an inactive module in your inactive module block but is it deffinatly activated .

Just wondering, did you happen to upload a file called ROOT/images/admin/SOMETHING.gif , Just wondering if you did happen to upload anything found in that file structure. I dont know what image they use, but if you didn't then that could be a reason you don't see anything.
If you keep having this problem, Contact me through PM and set me up with a test user account for the site with admin powers, also set up FTP access temporarily and I will get it up for you. I don't see why you would be having this much trouble, I just threw it on my test site and it worked perfectly.
