Hi Tinker

I find it hard to comprehend that your host does not allow Ion Cube

To remove Ion Cube there is a folder in the root of your site called "ioncube"

Just delete that, and its all gone.. thats the only folder that is required for it to run.

something just doesnt sound right from your description Bad HAir Day

i was 'Guessing ' IonCube Loader' ,,,but his subject stated 'Icon Loader'....
Go figure...

Actually..'Ioncube' will only work with PHP servers that have IonCube loaded to the php.ini file.... doubt his host has the correct edits to allow it... hence his issues.. alos note..not many servers exist that DONT have the appropriate php.ini file edits to allow the use of ioncube loaders to work!

As Ped Stated...Remove the Ion Cube Loader files and all should be well...however, with those loaders not installed...the module will not work...

Just so you understand Tinker, those files are needed to decrypt the files in the module...

Also...for future reference, please post the 'Appropriate Subjects' with your topics...( Icon Loader ) and ( IonCube Loader ) are 2 completely different things! HELP US HELP YOU!

You will not recieve help from me if i have to go digging for your CMS information and version, If i have to take the time to play 21 questions, then you can take the time to google! No Copyright, no support either!

I would also suggest calling up your server provider and talk to them about having it installed. I know allot of server will install it for you or they will guide you through the installation. I know my provider helped me my first time with it, which was not to hard, just sometimes doesn't like to work. But its something you can also look into. If they don't support it, which is unlikley, then you wont be able to run any module/program that requires the IonCube.

My host would not allow this to be used when i was trying to install EGL script (Elite Gaming Ladder) I emailed them and they wouldent allow it for just 1 user, so i had to switch host :( I was originally using Hosting Unlimited but switched to Host Gagtor. Not all host will allow this to be loaded on there server as it requires some kind on global registers to be on or something like that :) 2 ways round it are email host and see if they will load it failing that switch host to someone that does :)

Dont Know I don't know which company feed you the line about global registration and what not. He/she probably had no idea what you were talking about. Here is more about it... http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php

But overall, if the failed to help you or work with ya, then I guess switching host is the way to go. I know that after I had some problems with my old host, I switch to the company I have now, which is Blue Host, and I have not found anyone to come close to what my host offers.
