Post Need help with raveninstall Posted: Sat Aug 25, 2007 6:23 pm

Ok well i'm installing Raven and i got to this:

"If you are installing this for the first time, did you remember to run INSTALLATION/installSQL.php file?"

Ok so i went to my phpmyadmin cp and imported the installSQL.php file but when i clicked out this came up:

Error
There seems to be an error in your SQL query. The MySQL server error output below, if there is any, may also help you in diagnosing the problem

ERROR: Unknown Punctuation String @ 1
STR: <?
SQL: <?
session_start();<?
session_start();<?
session_start();<?
( and well the sentence above me is repeated about 200 more time )
SQL query:

<? session_start();

MySQL said:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '<?
session_start()' at line 1

Can anybody help me out?

Are you having the same problem or are you having a 404 error? If its the same problem as above which one are you having?

And what version are you trying to install? and a link to the site would help.

I would either suggest asking your host (if there support is good), or delete the nuke out of the ftp and delete your mySQL databases... and start again.
Sometimes when problems arrive you try anything... i would start again and like floppy said point your browser to the .sql directory.

Hi
Can somebody help me here.
I downloaded RavenNuke_v 2.10.01 from ravenphpscripts.
I have my database already, but I am having trouble finding out exactly which files or folders i should upload via ftp.

The download Ive got is a zip. Does anybody know which files I should upload ?
Also is this version of RavenNuke recommended ?

Thanks,

__Hopper___

FTP ALL of the unzipped files contained in the "html" folder to your root web folder, usually "www" or "public_html", but do not FTP the html folder itself unless you intend to install this in a sub-folder named "html". For example, let us assume your root site folder is "public_html". If you FTP just the contents of the "html" folder, then you will be able to access your site by this url: http://www.YOURSITE.com . However, if you FTP the entire "html" folder, then to access your site you will need to use http://www.YOURSITE.com/html, which is probably not desireable.
