I downloaded a few themes from here to check out, When I am using them I am getting this error
Template->make_filename(): Error - file themes/Military/forums/cash_viewtopic.tpl does not exist
I am running platinum 7.6.b.4v2 and the default themes work with the forum, but when I select any other theme I put in I get a similar error to that one.

Can anyone help me figure this out? I am a noob when it comes to PHP.

Most likely the themes you downloaded are not platinum compatible.

All the themes that I downloaded said they were platinum and the other 2 that are having this issue were bought and were platinum too. So not sure whats going on.

Ah, ok. I am not at all very platinum witty. I can tell you that platinum is calling for a file that is not there and that theme could possibly be for an older version of platinum.

So for instance, if they added this mod in the latest release then the older theme's designed for platinum would not have it. It is one of many of the downfalls to using such nuke distributions such as evolution and platinum.
