Such a secretive bunch you designers! Can't share the solutions for budding designers to learn? Tssk Tssk! lol

Nice theme BTW

Ive obviously told Noto where he went wrong, its a real easy fix... but i don't mind telling people who are willing to try at making a theme and it seems Noto knows what hes doing...

i think we have a potential new clan themes designer in the making ! and i agree it is a very nice looking theme, would sell well

Actually I wasn't referring to telling Noto the Solution but the rest of us. I am a budding Designer. While not quite as good yet as Noto or your self yet, I predict it may not be long before I am as Good, if not better (that comment only a friendly razzing lol) however I would love to know how to fix that problem should it appear for me in the future. But no worries as I usually can figure things out myself in the long run. Just sometimes it's a relief to save time by learning from others experiences rather than having to reinvent the wheel. But mind you something I discovered since starting to learn theme design is there really isn't a lot of help out there in the way of guidance. Theme Designers everywhere seem to be a secretive group. I even heard of some that have actually made tutorials but for some reason they don't wanna publish them? The Odd one or 2 Tutorials that have made publishing from what I have seen are very limited in Instruction leaving someone wanting to venture into this realm to battle a somewhat frustrating and lonely climb.

Anyway I am near Done my Very first theme. I started it Several weeks back but it had to be shelved due to several other more pressing projects that required more immediate attention. While I still have several other pressing projects on the go I will be returning to the final touches of this first theme soon. This theme will not be as good as those seen here. But for a very first theme it will be half decent and a symbol I hope of the much better designs to come. I think perhaps when I am done a couple themes under my belt and my experience is sufficient I will take to writing a definitive guide and tutorial to help other budding designers learn with less struggle than I had to should they want to pursue this fun and rewarding endeavor. And if I ever encounter this mysterious 1 pixel phenomenon after I figure out how to fix it (cause believe me I will hehe) I'll include the solution in the guide.

Shop Purchases:
T3 Light Multi Gaming Theme

I normally make my themes 100% width and i used to end up with a 1 px gap under the header, the problem was i had included the same piece of code under my header twice.
Code:
example was 2x <td bgcolor="#000000"></td>
witch gave the 1 pix gap under the header. after removing 1 of these the gap had gone.

However on this latest theme i could see no mistake because i was looking for something along the lines above to rid myself of the 1 px gap, Totally missing the point that was actually causing the gap this time. I had a line on 1px spacers running along the length of my header which ped pointed out.

Well Thanks Noto for the guidance! I have already learned some interesting things from that first theme I mentioned like I made everything in the wrong dimensions (too big) and thought upon resizing it would still look fine especially since the resizing was downward not up. However that was a silly thought. Arrggh Anyway I am not redrawing stuff now cause it's still ok (but could be better). But I had a few mysterious Pixel gaps and misalignments after slicing that were driving me nuts. Anyway most of them are good now. The only thing left to do is forums which for the most part were done if decided to use Color tables mainly but have decided that the themes I've seen using Graphics look way better so I am opting for that when I have the time to finish. One thing that seems to drive me nuts is preserving transparencies properly when working with PS CS and also creating tillable images for main backgrounds. But these I am sure are things I'll soon master.
