The readme file says to upload like this -

the images inside the snow folder -------> yoursite/themes/images/snow (make a snow folder)
snowstorm.js ------------------------------> yoursite/themes/scripts/ (make a scripts folder)

but in the snowstorm.js file this line is wrong -

var imagePath = 'snow/'; // relative path to leaf images

It should read -

var imagePath = 'themes/images/snow/'; // relative path to leaf images
