Isn't there ANY direct fix available for it?? I have been trying for hours and seems that i've been 'nuked' again..
I have many users online at the forum at one time, so I can't take a chance on testing it.. Either do it or don't.. Please floppy, a direct step as to what to do in posting_body will help.

The top part removal trick did'nt help either.

No the reasons their are no exact steps is because very theme is different depending on the author.

What exact problem are you having when you make the posting_body edit?

Ok first of all im sorry for posting in a dead topice but this is closest to my problem in fact it is alomost exactly the same,with me also thou i cannot see the help text located below the third section(rma.googlevideo and youtube video) i see from this forum you have a full working one and it looks very nice and usfull and was wondering would it be possible if you can upload and updated version as the old one takes alot of editing for a noob,And when i got to the end it worked and looked nice until i noticed no posting area.Or maybe the guy who originally helped solve the problem is still around and can advise me of the easyest way to fix it.

Revert back to your old posting_body.tpl and start over editing that file. Thats your only problem.

Hi all -

I've got the text box working, but haven't figured out how to make it span the width correctly.

But - my question is really about:

Why isn't this new BBCode working when I view the post?

Here's a screenshot... any thoughts?

This is a look at the text area problem of not spanning the width correctly.
Also, the help text does not appear in the help box above the text area.

Any thoughts or insight?

if you look in postingbody.tpl and find the message input area. All you need to do is change that width. Maybe 100%. You can post the file in a .zip and I will find it for you.

Awesome - got the style width set at 100% and it works now.

What's still strange is these two things:
1.) The help text isn't showing up in the helpline box; and
2.) that some of the bbcode tags just go through as the tag text. The align, marq, s and a few other tags just show up as the tag code. Others, like the youtube code works. /boggles (html is turned off for the posts, bbcode is turned on)

Here's the file zip. Though - this is the posting_body.tpl - and may only hold the key to solving problem #1. I'm no expert. I'll leave that to you guys!! Pint
