Floppy is looking into this issue but in the meantime I've uploaded a copy of my modified posting_body.tpl file to my server that you can download if you'd like to give it a try. I went through the file indenting the code so it is easier to determine the table layout. You may be able to simply use this file or you may need to copy and paste some sections into yours if it is heavily modified. Here's the current layout:

I moved the links from the button bars to below the text box due to the fixed width of my website (and the fact that the left row blocks are enabled).

You can download the .tpl file here: http://www.black-blades.org/downloads/BBCodeBox.zip

Hope this helps :)

That is definitely odd... BTW, it only occurs in Firefox - looks fine in I.E. so I am going to guess that somewhere you have a tag that is unsupported (or incorrectly supported) by Firefox. Perhaps one of the devs here can help.

I got the text area working, but now it kills my right hand blocks on main page? Minor glitch which I should be able to sort. However my main problem is the BBcode just wont work. Since installing this mod on phpnuke 7.9 all BBcode has stopped working.

Anybody else run in to this problem?

BBcode is turned on. If I turn it off the entire code shows up in posts (As it should in this mode) , but if I turn it on nothing shows at all except the normal text in the post and a small amount of the signature BBCode.

This is a very odd one that has me puzzled?

btw I am based over here. http://www.r-force.org , kind of embarrassing the Great 13thHouR being beaten by little bit of php code, I must be getting old :lol:

I would like to get this working, although if I do the first thing I will do is to strip iframes, and real media support. Its just to easy for bogus posters to attack user systems with that support. I see in the phpBB 5.1.0c version they have decided to strip that out for the same reason.

thx in advance if anybody has any idea on this BBCode not displaying content issue.

Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster 2.0

So let me get this straight? No bbcode is working? If thats the case you most likely missed an edit in bbcode.php or bbcode.tpl.

I voting on the .tpl but i need to review the install.txt again. Also did you remember to include the javascript?

Basically you need to review the installation and check your current files to see what is missing.

I have gone through it several times. btw I am having to do direct mod on the default subsilver theme as my theme does not have a forums skins. Other than that everything is totally standard.

My bet was on the .tpl's as well.

Just thought I would ask around to see if anybody else had the same problem as it could have saved a lot of time. back to bug tracking these tpl's again I guess.

If I have any luck tracking it down, I will post what it was for future reference.

I think I tracked down the problem, I must have been half asleep last night when I inserted the code.

Code:
// [img]image_url_here[/img] code..
   $text = preg_replace("#\[img\]((http|ftp|https|ftps)://)([^ \?&=\#\"\n\r\t<]*?(\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png)))\[/img\]#sie", "'[img:$uid]\\1' . str_replace(' ', '%20', '\\3') . '[/img:$uid]'", $text);

That does not exist in my bbcode.php

Code:
// [img]image_url_here[/img] code..
// This one gets first-passed..
$patterns[] = "#\[img:$uid\]([^?].*?)\[/img:$uid\]#i";
$replacements[] = $bbcode_tpl['img'];

Is the only instance of it in phpNUKE 7.9
