Well guys I almost have all of the bugs worked out. For some reason when the Quote feature is used in the forums, it comes out as text instead of the quote box appearing. Example [quote="johndoe"]test 123[\quote] is displayed exactly like that -> [quote="johndoe"]test 123[\quote]

When you take out the name -> [quote]test 123[\quote] it displays the quote box correctly, of course with no name after the colon: However that is not the solution to the problem. Has anyone run into this before?

Testing Testing

this is a bug in ravens v2.2 forums, not essentially there fault as they never ported the particular forums... they used to do it here on clan themes but i re added a mod/hack to the forums and it brought it back to life let me think....

I re added the Expand on the quotes/code hack if im correct

Thanks for the fast reply.

I found this: $message = str_replace('"', '\"', $message);

And replaced it with this: $message = str_replace('"', '\\"', $message);

but still no change.

Throw another theme on there see if its the theme, but I am pretty sure its not. Which would mean you posted in the wrong forum LOL!

i missed that floppy, i know its not a theme issue ive tested this before in the standard fisicblue theme ...

and there are a few posts on it over at ravens too with a few suggestions...

I believe Ozbutcher had the same problem and he managed to fix it

I have seen a similar bug in the plain phpbb3 forum structure where it is not blocking the quotes. It puts them in there as plain text and you cant really tell where the quote ends and the new posting text begins. I am sure from the similar structure (and the fact that it is purely a forum code problem) that there are a couple of line changes that can fix it in both nuke forums and phpbb(3) forums.

Damn I wish I was smarter about this, hehe.
