hi all,

when i try and put a image in either a news item, or in a block, it will not show up on the main page, it does show up in the white editing box.

is this a know bug, or can anyone help me get this fixed please?

first check the image location..
make sure the path is accessible ..to do this...simply read the block code....add your domain to the beinging of the path, and check to see if that image will display in your browser. ( If you cant see the image like that then either the path is incorrect, or a .htaccess is blocking access)

<img border=\"0\" src=\"path/to/image.image.ext\">

Next up is .htaccess blocking which can be used to prevent image and file access...if located in the directory storing the image is a file called ( .htaccess ) then try removing that file and see if that works.

the ht acces file is in the main folder, not in the image folder.

and sorry the version is php nuke 8.0

aaa...now the culprit shows its ugly face...

basically the problem comes from HTML tags being embedded to a BBCode editor.....
Only the newest version allow both HTML and BBcode together...and even then its hit or miss...

try using the BBcode equivalent:

[img]http://www.mc-clan.org.uk/images/gameimage.jpg[/img]

should work for you...also note, you dont need to provide the domain info in the path, you can simply use the relative path from your nuke base directory

tried that in both html and normal, both just coming up with the full code.

looks like there is a glitch in the 'Messages' module of your distro...have you made any changes to your distro ( IE installed mods, made file edits ) ???

not as far as i know, i have been trying to put images on it since i installed the theme and php, both were a clean install.

not sure what to tell you then...

Try creating a custom block, and writing that code into the block then uploading it to your blocks folder, then activate that block...

Also, i would suggest looking into another distro that works ( Nuke Evolution or Raven Nuke )!

suus801 can i just say, on the right hand side under Register its says _PASSFOR, just wondering if you have noticed it :P. Probably something to do with the language file if im not mistaken?
