First off I am a complete noob with php , So here it goes.

I have done a clean install of PHPnuke 8.1 and I cannot put a Picture in the main page but it shows in the preview window.

unfortunalty its your versiion of nuke your using !read this thread here http://ravenphpscripts.com/posts11768-highlight-.html i started a while ago about stripping html

it would seem you have run foul of thinking the best version of nuke is the latest !!

you could use the block maker if you want to stick with your version http://www.clan-themes.co.uk/php-nuke-tools-Block.html

paste your code in hit create ...

Make a new text file on your desktop and rename it to block-YOURNAME.php

open it in up and paste the code from the block creator and then upload it to yoursite/blocks and then activate it !

Thanks PeD for the quick reply and I think I will go back to 7.6 ... what do you recommend (e.g. raven,cms,evo,etc) also can I keep my 8.1 mysql and will it work with raven,cms,evo,etc 7.6.

Yup , dont use anything above 7.6, dam you dont want to use standard nuke... it has no protection at all read this if you want

Ok i found the problem Nerd

First of all i didn't have any Image tags in the allow part of Config.php

So i added

Code:

"img"=>1,

at the end... but still this didnt work either... a little time playing..... a little more frustration.....

BOOM

Code:

"img"=>2,

hahahahah change one POXY number and there ya have it... hope it works for others too :D

Oh and dont diable your WISIWIG editor either... it doesnt like that too much heheh

Ok I have nuke 7.9 and lets say I do what ped said above using the code tool so I fine my pic I want to go ont the site I upload it to photobucket get that code and use the code creator tool get my code then paste it in a text at my desktop name it block-MYNAME.php how do you get that to stay php because it goes in as .txt.php and doesnt work?

http://www.fileinfo.net/help/windows-show-extensions.html Then you can just change your .txt.php to .php
