Post Roll over images Posted: Sun May 11, 2008 8:25 pm

Hi,

I'm working on a theme, but I cant get the rolloverimages to work.
Never had problems with them untill now.
This is what I have.
Code:
<a href="index.php" onMouseOver="image1.src='Menu/Over/Home.gif';" onMouseOut="image1.src='Menu/Home.gif';"><img src="Menu/Home.gif" border="0" name="image1"></a>

But it gives me an error: invalid character
and the rollover doesn't work.
Does anyone have an idea what might cause this problem?

Greets

i guess what im trying to say is:

everything in between your "" tags looks wrong...

im assuming your working on the theme.php file or the themeinfo.php file...

building to a php file and in php format...those tags wont work and im surprised your not receiving errors when the page loads...

without looking at your code..i couldnt tell you what direction to look in....
if you PM me the file..ill have a look

Ive had this problem before

its some code inside the theme.php i cant tell you what it is as i couldn't find it, i just replaced it with an older theme.php that i knew worked and it was there..

I suppose i could send you over one of my theme.php's and you could compare them to see whats different

I found the problem.
It's the function addslashes
It replaces the ' by \'
and then it doesn't work anymore
So now I replaced
Code:
    $tmpl_file = "themes/MD_Multi/header.html";
    $thefile = implode("", file($tmpl_file));
    $thefile = addslashes($thefile);
    $thefile = "\$r_file=\"".$thefile."\";";
    eval($thefile);
    print $r_file;

By
Code:
include("themes/MD_Multi/header.html");

You mean if I use like $ads or something in the header?
Well then I'm just going to include the menu seperately.
And the rest of the header the was it was before.
