Shop Purchases:
Guildwars (Ultimate) PhpNuke Theme

So I've installed my first phpnuke site and have installed a theme purchased from this site. I've a good amount of experience managing a phpbb forum, but this is the first time I've managed a phpbb forum with phpnuke. I want to limit access to certain forums to certain groups, but in the usual phpbb configuration place the check boxes are missing.

I don't see anywhere in the phpnuke admin to perform this task. Can phpnuke not do this?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Shop Purchases:
Battlefield 2 Theme (Aviator V2) · Battlefield 2142 (Aviator v2) · Arnhem Multi Gaming Theme · Call of Duty 4 Ultimate Theme · Multi Gaming (Warrior) Theme · Topsites Manager V1 PhpNuke Module · Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module · Frontlines Fuel Of War Theme · Anzio Multi Gaming Theme · Anzio Multi Gaming Theme

Ok now this might get complicated and i might even confuse myself but i will try and help you.

First set up a forum in forum admin under management or several forums that you want a certain group to access.

Then in forum admin under permissions set the permissions of that forum ie registerd, private ect.

Then create a group call it what ever you like and set it as open, closed or private group, remember you can only set permissions for the group if the forums that you have created has any special permissions added to it.

If you look at next screen shot you will see the top few forums dont have any permissions, thats because i did not add any permissions to those forums other than you just need to be registerd to view them. As more people sign up to your site you will then be able to put them into different groups.

You will also see that in user permissions ive wanted to keep my name as moderater not show in forums but as im administarator i get right to moderate automatically.

Personally i dont use groups, i just add permissions to all my clan members maunually, then when new user sign up the only forums they can see are the top few anyway, unless they want to join then i just set them manually, takes like 30 seconds to do each time, wich is fine if you only have 15-20 clan members but if you have a hell of alot of people joining then groups is deffinatly easier.

Hoped this has helped.

What StevieH said, really. Unless you have the Forum Permissions for each section set to Private or Private(Hidden), you don't get the checkboxes.
