Post Nsn news module - block/column alignment issues Posted: Sat Mar 29, 2008 7:29 pm

Hi wondered if someone could help me out (im not too brilliant with coding)

Ive been ujsing the NSN News Module for some time now and have recently decided to set dual colums for displaying news. However because i dont have set news length (and some news is shorter than others) i have found that the colums underneath are not aligned leaving big gaps in between each colum.

Here are some images of what i mean:

Is there any way of inserting some code into the module so that the underneath column sits directly beneath the upper block (if that makes sense) - so the gaps disapear?

Any help is greatly apreciated

Hi NOTO,
Thanks for having a go at trying to fix this problem :)

I have posted this problem on a couple of phpnuke forums and no one has any idea of how to rectify this problme.

As certain pieces of news are longer than others it's very difficult to try and make sure every single one has the same amount of characters within it. Further to this, when posting a piece of news, when you preview the story it doesn't show you what it will look like in the dual column format- so you have no way of telling how it will look until you submit and view the homepage.

I guess the only real solution is to do what one person suggested - post the news then use simple break code to make the block longer in height so the bottom block aligns removing the gap in between blocks.

Thanks for all your help

If anyone elsev knows of a possible solution it would be greatly apreciated - it's difficult to know how many line breaks to use in any one post - lots of news article editing ;)
