Without knowing where your forums are, we really cant help u.

For a standalone forum the link would be something like, www.yoursite.com/forum/index.php

Maybe i should have made my self a little clearer, sorry i phrased it wrong.

What i meant was my external forums are www.forums.els-clan.com and i want PHPNUKE to link to these rather than its built in forums. I would do it by a url redirect through my hoster but like i said phpnuke, when you click on forums takes me to www.els-clan.com/modules.php?name=forums which i believe is a command rather than a static url. This is what i believe i have to change to get my phpnuke to link to my forums but i am unsure of how to do this and where. Do i need to edit a file and change a url or do i need to change a command in a specific file?

Shop Purchases:
T3 Light Multi Gaming Theme

change all your forum links to link to www.forums.els-clan.com

Look in header.html of your theme and change the forum link in there.

modules block forum link. Disable the forum module for your admin panel

Create subfolder in 'modules' folder of PHP-Nuke root directory e.g. 'PhpNuke-root-dir\modules\your-module\'

Save the code below as index.php and place in your new subfolder u just made. eg 'PhpNuke-root-dir\modules\your-module\index.php'

Code:
<?php
header ("Location: http://www.forums.els-clan.com");
?>

that should do the trick.

I think he actually want to show different forums in place on the standard phpnuke forums..

Ive done this before by using an iframe, it worked but was definatnatly not a wise idea, mainly because of 2 registration accounts and the email notifications from the forums just redirected strait to the forums anyway and totally missed the new site out !!

What sort of forums are you using ?

everyones getting confused here lol. basically im running normal php nuke for my clans home pages but i have installed phpbb3 gold to a sub domain and i want the links that you click all around php nuke to take you to this new sub domain (i want to keep the forums seperate and dont mind having people with 2 accounts for each site). But i dont know how to do this because as you probably know when you click for example the forum links on any theme on php nuke it takes you to the built in forums and i want to change were it takes you ........... hope that helps

Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module · Clan Roster 2.0

This is only a shot in the dark, but if your running ravens nuke they have this is the config.php:

Code:
if (!defined('NUKE_FORUMS_DIR')) define('NUKE_FORUMS_DIR', (defined('IN_ADMIN') ? './../' : 'modules/Forums/'));

could you not just change that to:

Code:
if (!defined('NUKE_FORUMS_DIR')) define('NUKE_FORUMS_DIR', (defined('IN_ADMIN') ? './' : 'forums.els-clan.com/'));

Or something similar.... There is a MOD on CT that allows you to run 2 forums one for registered and then like a "tavern" where its open to the public...

http://www.clan-themes.co.uk/downloaddetails-46-545-muiltiple-forums-hackmod.html#dldetails

Or you could try this MOD:

http://www.clan-themes.co.uk/club-download-file-183-external-forum-redirect.html

As I say I am no expert on this sort of thing but I hope this points you in the right direction Smiley
