First upload the theme into the theme directory which is inside your root folder. This "root" folder has several names, so when in doubt, look for the config.php file and you will be in the right folder.
Once the theme is uploaded properly, meaning make sure the "actual" theme folder is uploaded. If you are new at this, simply compare sub-folders to your themes folders and select the right one. Normally the themes are within a folder called html. A number of other folders may also be attached called, "goodies" or "extras" or even "instructions" or any number of assisting files.
Once uploaded, log into your USER account... DO NOT LOG IN AS ADMIN OR YOU'LL BE BACK HERE ASKING FOR MORE HELP
Go into your profile, select "CHANGE THEME"
Find your newly added theme and select it,
click okay or accept- which ever the case is.
IF it works, then you can log into your ADMIN account and change the theme in your preferences options
IF it does not work, simply go to your web brouser, select the arrow back to go to the previos page and go back to your old theme for the time being. Post back here and we'll do more trouble shooting to get your site running properly with your new theme.

Have you actually installed php nuke via fantastico in you cpanel or have you installed the latest version of Raven Nuke. If you have chosen the first option then i think befor you go any further STOP!!!! and install raven nuke, that will be the first step and probably the only on you have to make to get your site secure. Then once you have done that follow Relics instructions on how to add your shiney brand new theme to you shiney new install of the latest version of nuke from raven ;)
All you need to do to delete phpnuke version you have now is to go back into fantastico and click the phpnuke link then you will see a list of php nuke sites you have installed and a delete button next to it :)
As for installing raven nuke goto HERE and get version 2.20.00 and download either the .rar .zip .7z .tgz file (i use rar files as i have winrar but if you dont then i would maybe suggest .zip)
Once you have file then extract folder and upload the html directory in that zip to your root directory of your site.
Whilst that is uploading then go back into you cpanel and select database set up wizard and create a new database call it ie "newsite" (i think max is 7 characters) then add a password making it as secure as you can ie use combination of alpha numeric and maybe hyphens or underscores in there.
Once datbase is created then just wait for you html folder to upload (at this point i would go for a fag (if smoke) :) or have a cuppa)
Once you are sure you have uploaded all the files in the html folder then edit the config.php and insert the database credentials you made earlier ie database name database user name and password and reupload config.php
Now type mysite.com/html/HowToInstall this willl then give you step by step instructions on how to install your new raven nuke site.
Good luck and any probs ask here or at raven nuke forums.
Any thing ive missed feel free to comment people :)
