I've made several theme layouts, would you guys be interested in looking them over and who knows you you like them, maybe we can discuss adding them to your layouts. I'll post pictures of them later if interested. Don't look for anything great, I'm a noob.

Ah a fellow graphics geek !

Lets get you sorted out

When making a PHP Nuke Template, for a fixed width theme make your templates 980x850 (height doesnt mater) The edge of the template 980 pixels is so it will work in IE and firefox

Pay attention to detail for the header/footer and the blocks layout

Whilst your designs are very basic you have the potential

Ill post a preview of one of my old templates so you know what i mean.. but you can of course be flexible on these dimensions i typically do my left right blocks 160 - 200 pixels leaving around 600 pixels for the center block

This is one of my first themes i ever made, so don't laugh !

I always love making the design these days, the harder parts are coding and creating all the smaller images.. i don't even mind slicing the templates !

Sp RELIC if you can pay some attention to detail in the areas i mentioned to the templates i could/would gladly use your work !

I'm more than willing to learn. The problem is I don't have very many people for guidence, the ones I do have are extremely busy with what they have going on and I feel guilty asking for their assistance. Maybe here I can get some direction. =)

Post Theme Layout... Posted: Mon May 05, 2008 3:49 pm

Hey all, I saw this post and wanted to reply that I am also a big graphics geek. However, I am still in the learning stage with CS and have yet made a template, but only signatures and little stuff like that.

I would love to start making web templates, but not 100% sure where to start, can you all or anyone give some pointers or maybe a link to some good tutorials?

P.S. Ped, would that light_theme you have above be ready? It looks nice.:)

Thanks,
RR
