i feel that pb realy drops the ball on most of the hacks out there for any game.but yea it seems to do a fine job of kicking players for packet lost errors.

Correct poootang, no matter how fast PB updates there system with new cought hacks, the cheaters are always going to be one step ahead.
Overall, I do believe there are ways to combat the cheats but havent been intruduced yet or havent been designed. One thing I have notticed, with some of the newer games that are comming out. Punkbuster is installed onto your PC and runs as a seperate process. I wounder since its running as a seperate process, is it possible to have it do like a check or scan to see if any file that is not part of the original game is being used and if so can it send like a log to PB to do a check. With allot of these newer games, when most people play. they don't have any other programs running just for reasons of the lag and the lowered FPS. If the log shows its a separate program like a messenger, or team chat it will register it and ignore it.
Or do like a system check of the game folders and/or any folder associated with it to go through and seek out files that aren't supposed to be there. I don't know much about programing but there has to be a better way of doing checks. But till someone comes up with a better way, hackers will always have the upper hand. The only thing people can do is play fair, which as we know, cant be done because allot of people have that urge to be the best, no matter the cost. I personally hate cheaters and if the person really needs to use a hack to win then I ask one simple question, why even play?
Just recently we have had a guy that was a so so player, needed some help in his game but overall not a bad player just recently become to good. Well in our investigation and reviewing demos that were recently taken, we found that he is cheating and is banned from our server and many others servers. so as of now, the best anti cheat out there as of now, is the server admins.

We fully update and stream are servers regularly and have an admin online almost 24/7 to listen and play and kick whether theyre suspected of hacking in which case screenshots will be taken, killkams will be watched and maybe recorded and then after a warning we will disscuss whether he should get banned or not. but this is the same for all people that do the likes of camping or nube tubing constantly!
But the main problem is that PB very rarely catches people and even X-Ray anti cheat that we use for ED matches doesnt alaways catch them

Is it ok to have a mess about with freinds in a private game on old school mode for a bit of fun just that some people think it is and it is kind of anoying lol atleast as soon as they step out of map they loose 50% of there damage so it's like 3 headshots with a barretta :)

to be honest some time is fun to do that just for fun,,, but not all the time.
I don't find anything about it mildly fun. I mean, to cheat to you is fun? That is sad that you say that.

I guess if it was a private server with some of your friends, I guess it would be okay. Me personally wouldent allow it but I guess that would be fine, but once the server is public, you should not be using it at all...

Hackers are everywhere and the only way to stop them is to simply not download or provide cheats! but hell no one is ever going to stop doing that....:(
