Later on tonight july 11, 2007.  I will be upgrading Clan Themes to php5.  There are significant bonuses to using PHP 5 and I would like to take advantage of all of them.  Lets hope I don't break anything.  Ok, we all know I am going to break something.  Lets just hope it isn't too much.

PHP 5

PHP 5 was released in July 2004 after long development and several pre-releases. It is mainly driven by its core, the Zend Engine 2.0 with a new object model and dozens of other new features.

What has changed in PHP 5

PHP 5 and the integrated Zend Engine 2 have greatly improved PHP's performance and capabilities, but great care has been taken to break as little existing code as possible. So migrating your code from PHP 4 to 5 should be very easy. Most existing PHP 4 code should be ready to run without changes, but you should still know about the few differences and take care to test your code before switching versions in production environments.

Edit  Well its done. Upgraded to PHP 5.23. Please post comments with any problems you might find. So I can repair them as soon as possible.
